DIES OF MULE KICK
Griffin, Ga,, May 28—J. E. Toby
Wallace, chairman of the Spalding
county load ccmmissioners, the man
to whom a greit portion of the credit
for the splendid ci ndltion of Spalding
county roads is duo, died at his coun
try home outside of Griffin Friday
afternoon.
Mr. Wallace was kicked in the ab-
dmen by a mule Thursday, and suc-
c. nibed to the injuries in about twen
ty-four hours. Ho was about 60 years
of age, and is survived by a wife and
ten children, as well as a number o(
relatives some of whom live in At
lanta.
Mr. Wallace was one of the old
setUere of Spalding county, and was
familiarly known ns “Pa Toby" to
hundreds of Splding county citizens
who mourn his death.
