The Work is ‘as follows:
EDUCATIONAL:
First efforts to get the work be
fore the people has consisted of many
private explanatory interviews with
me people of the county in general
wheie ever an intelligent hearing
was given 1000 circulars were sent
to tlie registered voters cf the co.n-
ty briefly summarizing the health
work of the county. 19 special ar
ticles were published in the local pa
pers and one article in defense of
health work received an .editorial ce
ment in the Macon Telegnaph of
moro than a half column 31 talks
were made to the county schools and
oc immunity gathering. The health
crusade was started in 10 of the
county’s schools. This included all
of the larger schools and the smaller
a: hools that were most accessible.
This was a very simple method of
ertoouraging the elementary prinicii
pics of hygine in the school children.

buted tliroug.i the school children
and 1,500 clean up flies. These were
distributed throughed t the city in
connection with clean up week. Oth

The county while schools having
been e-xamined before the first of

incidents, and these were for a spe
cial condition where corrections
