Augusta, Ga., Dec. 4.—Five hundred
dollars reward “for the arrest and
conviction of the fire bug" who Is re
sponsible for the incendiary fires at
tile Atlantic States cotton warehouse,
one of the largest cotton warehouses
in the v. orld, was ottered tonight tol-
•owing a fire which, but for the
sprinkler system, would have caused
heavy damage.
The fire tonight was the seventh
one at the warehouse in the post live
weeks. All the biases have caused
negligible damage and each aas been
confined tji the compartment in
which it originated. On each occ-a-
-ion the sprinklers have aided the
firemen in keeping the bluze under
outrol.
