The bride wore a blue suit of poiret
te. ill. Her hat was a fall model of
blue and effective trimming of gold
wheat. Her corsage was composed
in Ophelia roses and valley llies.
Mr. and Mrs. Beman left immecd
•attly after the ceremony for a wed
ding trip to Washington and points
in New Yorlc State, returning to Em
pnria, Va. for a visit to the groom's
parents. They will be at home at
] nurenburg, N. C. after July 1st.
Mrs. Beman Is a woman o< unusr-
n I brunette beauty arid personal charm
and is a graduate of the Georgia Nor-
mill and. Industrial College.
Mr. Beman is a young man of ster
ling qualities and business ability and
is a Scottish Rite Mason., He is ccn-
nected with the McNan Co., Inc., of

A marriage of a great deal of inter
est was that of Mr. Barney T. Hen
dricks of Cochran, to Miss Margaret
Cook, daughter of Mr. and Airs. J.
T. Cook of this city.
The marriage took place at the
home of the bride’s parents and was
a quiet affair, only a few friend's and
relatives being present to witness
the happy occasion.
The bride was one of Milledgoville's
most attractive and popular yoing
Indies. She is a graduate of the
Georgia Normal and Industrial Col
lege.
The groom is one of the foremost
young business men of Cochran. He
is considerably interested in mercan
tile interests in both Cochran and
Hawkinsvllle.
After the ceremony Wednesday
evening the young couplri left for a
stay of a few days in North Carolina,
after whilh time they will reside in
Cochran.
On Tuesday morning Mrs. Osoar
McAfee entertained at two tables, uf
rook in henor of her sister, Mrs. John
M. Moore of Atlanta.
Air. Klbert Bivins spent several
days of last week with his mother

Mr. William Sibley left Friday for
a visit to South Carolina.

Local Boys in Training
At Camp McClellan
Several boys from this city left
Wednesday to attend the R. O. T. C.
which is to be held' ait Camp McClel
lan, Amflston, Ala., for six weeks.
These young men were picked fro*n
the G. M. C. battalion by Col. Cotisley
on account of their high military ef
ficiency. They will no doubt make
fine records while at camp.
