The Misses Hawkins were hostesses
to their friends on Tuesday evening at
a prom t>urty. Each girl was asked to

One of the lovliest affairs of the rea
son was given on Thursday afternoon
when Mrs. James L. Sibley entertain
ed in honor of Mrs. Marion Sibley.
The guests were greeted at the en
trance by Mrs. Louie Andrews and
served to . punch on the porcli by
Misses Eugenia Howard, Francis Dell,
Katherine Beeson, Constance Day, Ro-,
bOrta Lawrence and Sara Alien.
AJrs. Charles F. Barrett receive J at
the door. In the receiving line wore
Mrs. James L. Sibley, Mrs. Marion bib-
icy, and Mrs. Martha ijibley.
Cream and cake were served in the
dining room by Miss Regina Cline,
Miss Ruth Parks, Miss Floride Allen,
Mrs. Tom Reese, Katie Myrick.
The Sibley home was never more
attractive than on this occasion. The
porch was decorated in zinnias, the
hall, living rbom and dining room in
quantities of white asters. Tae table
in the dining room was lovely with
silver vases of white dahlias, shower
ed with white clematis.
KID PARTY
On Thursday evening Miss Elnora
Allbritten delightfully entertained a
number of her friends with a “Kid 1 '
party at the home of her sister, Mrs.
James Morgan. '
As the guests arrived they were
served f^niit punch by Mrs. George AI-
britten, who was attractive in a pink
satin evening dress. They were then
ushered to thtf la.... where "dropping
the handkerchief and other childUh
games were played. When alt the
guests arrived they were led to the
living room where contests and
stunts were enjoyed.
The living and dining rooms which
were thrown together for the occasion
were prettily decorated with zinnias,
roses atvl ferns. On a cut with Norris
Hall, Jack Day won the prize for be-
ins the ‘‘best dressed kid."
During the remainder of the even
ing promenading, music and dancing
were enjoyed.
Late in the evening a delicious ice
course was served to the following:
