The moat disgraceful feature of the

students, the lawyers, and other edit

lecturing on the history of philosophy

Davis, but Congress did not authorize

identified before receiving any portion

many claimants, ami the Treasury of

boon distributed though tho years from
1868 to the present time. In 1869,112-

$1,611 SO; in 1873, $2,061; in 1874.

This looks very much like an effort
upon the part of the retiring President
to curry favor with sentimcnialiste, in
