An Interesting Talk With Nlr. M. W
Knit n.
“I waa agroenbly aurprlacd a day or
two ago," said Mr. B. W, Kalin, the oil
torprlning atook dealer, to a IIkiiald
reporter this morning.
“It happeded this way," he went on.
“Tills building bore had to he lltled up
tor my sales stable, which required
considerable work, as you seo. 1 did
not submit ttlo work to bidders, but
after a consultation with Messrs. J. In
Jay A Bon, the contractors, I just tulil
them to go ahead and do the work and
then render n bill. While tho work
was being done, I took oecnslon to In
quire from others what the probable
costof tho work would be. But all the
guesses were too high. The building
was oompleted and the bill presented
by Mr. Jay,and I must say that It sur
prised nm. It was very reasonable—
’way below what 1 thought It would
bo. And |t’s ttrst-olnss woik, too.
I acrtalnly am satisfied with It,
and do not hesitate to recommend
these clever oontraotors to all parties
who need anything in their line of
business.
The above Is a deolded oompllment
to Messrs. Jay A Bon, the well-known
contractors and builders.
The Kahn building Is on Broad
street, nearly opposite the Inn
and any one desiring to do so can go
around and Inspect the splendid work.

‘Twill not be long till winter winds
Will sweep from State to State;
When wives and children crowd around
To court the warmth of glowing grate.
On fenders bright they toast their toes,
And pass the hours away;
And friends and beaux who “call around,”
Regret the last bye-byes to say.
Reduced prices, also,

Have you within your sitting-room,
