DESPERATE AFFRAY OCCURRED AT HAMILTON,. GEORGIA.
Golumbns, Ga., July 15.—Last night at about 7:30 o'clock, at Ham
ilton, Ga. t the marshal of the town, Will llobison, was shot and killed by
a young man named Cooper Trnett.
Truett, it appears, wus arrested by the marshal three weeks ago, and
found It necessary to club him. The affair was taker: up fast night,
in front of the Hamilton House. Both men drew their pistols and tired
at the same time. Robison is dead aud Truett will die. Both were shot
in the breast. Both men are well known. Truett is about 20 years old
and is son of the olerk of the superior court. The news of the affair
reached this city by a gentleman from Hamilton.

Pittsburg, July 15.—An air of general
jubilation surrounds the office of the
Amalgamated Association. Secretary
Williams says all the tin plate mills are
closed but one small one at Monessan.
All the American Steel Hoop Com
pany's plants are closed, except Will
iam Olarkstou's in this oity. It will be
dosed as soon as the men are organized.
The strikers are as confident as usaul of
victory.

department refused to go to work at the
American Tin Plate Works this morn
ing because a strike has been ordered.

Doyle, commanding the fourth brigade

Bud und Frank Jenkins and Tribble.
They overtook Wigginton a mile from
the churoh, aud a desperate fight en
sued. Wigginton was one man against
threo, but he killed Frank Jenkins and
severely wounded Tribble In the thigh.
He escaped unhurt. Ho 1b a cousin of
the sheriff of this county, and will be
captured.

prohibiting Mrs. Hanna from removing

the Cleveland courts. She, however,
learned of the lssuauoe of the injune

for New York before the papers were

Negro Olrl “Sheds" Needles sad Pins By the
Doien.
Lexington, Ky., Jnly 18.—With a
small pair, of; tweezers the mother of
Sis" Howard, a colored girl living in
Adamstown, palled from the ends of
her daughter's fingers a day or two ago,
eight pins, some of them in pieces of a
quarter of an inoh in length. The girl
has been "shedding pins" for the past
five years, and this is the fourth oooa-
ston on whioh they have been extracted
from her flesh. On the seoond occasion*
whioh was about three yean ago, her
mother took ont fifteen pins and eight
needle*. The girl says that whenever
the pin* “want to oome ont” she gets
"kind of dizzy and feels them at the
surface of the flesh." She says there Is
very little pain attending the operation
of removing them. The phenomenon is
unexplained.
