We are glad to hear that our friend “Kb”
ns we used to lamilisirly call him, is succeed
ing so admirably. The writer, however, is
mistaken in some facts. Mr. Munsey has
been preaching over ten years. He is a na
tive of South-western Virginia, and hy his
own industry he lias reached the point lie
now occupies. He is an indefatigable stu
dent. lie first entered the Holslen Confer
ence, and was stationed at Knowillc, Fast
Teim, his second year, where we made his
acquaintance, lie tilled several important
stations in that Conference. He preached
in Atlanta some years ago, and impressed a
correspondent of the Southern Christian
Advocate, then published in Charleston, S t
C., so much, that he placed him along side
of Whitfield and other great pulpit orators.
Over a year ago he was transferred to the
Haiti more Conference, aud stationed at Al
exandria, Va., where he still remains. He
is tall, awkard, and not at all prepossessing

duly it shall be to assess tbe value of all the Real
Estate In this city subject to taxation, and make a
return thereof under oath to Council by the first
day of July following, which shall constitute a pait
of the Tax Digest for each year. And it shall be
the duty of the Clerk, from the former books and
such other sources as he may discover, to make out
a list of the defaulters as to such real estate, aud
furnish the same to the Assessors, whose duty it

ers of real estate in the city of Albany, or their
agents, cannot he found, it shall be the duty of the
Clerk of Council to post at the Court House and
PostOffice in sold city, a list of the numbers of

days, at the expiration of which time if said real
estate is not claimed and owned, Gie Assessors shall
assess a fair value thereon, and the Clerk shall enter
the same upon the Digest as "unknown” and in de
fault, nnd shnll assess a double lax thereon, and

turn said executions to the Marshal for collection.
