day last of pneumonia. She
was a kind and devoted wife
and mother, and a large fami¬
ly of children and grand-chil¬
dren will llffld her in memory

Mi s. Lane, wife of Dr. E.
W. Lane, the present Senator
from .Emanuel, died at her
home last week. She was the
mother of Dr. John 1. Lane
of our county. The Dr. and
his family have our condolence
in the loss of a devoted wife
