When things are "the best” they
become “the best selling.” Abraham
Hare, a leading druggist of Belle
ville, O., writes: “Electric Bitters are
the best selling bitters-1 have hand
led in 20 years.” Yon know why?
Most diseases begin in disorders o: :
stomach, liver, kidneys, bowels, blood
and nerves. Electric Bitters tones up
the stomach, regulates liver, kindeys
and bowels, purifies the blood,
strengthens the nerves, hence cures
multitudes of maladies. I fr builds up
the entire system. Puts new life anc.
vigor into any weak, sickly, run
down man or woman.' Price 50 cts.

The week of Prayer and Thanks
giving will be observed next week,
as it has been for years by the Wo
man s Foreign Missionary Society.
Meetings will be held in Perry on
Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday
afternoons at 3 o’clock, at the home
of Mrs. p; M.: Houser. Comeat
naif past two, so we can begin at 3
sharp. The afternoons are so short,
we must be prompt. The meetings
will be led by the older ladies, while
the young ladies will furnish- appro
priate songs, readings, recitations,
essays, etc. These meetings are
held for the mental instruction and
spiritual upbuilding of the Society.
We cannot do without them, as the
work has always received an impetus
from these meetings.
Thanksgiving week is an appropri
ate time for recounting the blessings
of the year, and as we do so, let us
drop an offering into the Lord’s
treasury; they will be used for the
salary of our young Perry mission
ary, Miss Mary Culler White, who
has been sent out by the Souih Ma
con District.
We earnestly beg every member
to attend, and every lady in the
town interested in missions is cor
dially invited to unite with ns and
pray God’s blessing on the week.

Roundlap Bale Advantages.
CASTORIA
The Kind YMMei
It is to the farmer’s advantage to
patronize the roundlap gin for these
and other reasons:
Because it costs him nothing ex
cept the ginning charge to have his
cotton put up in roundlap bales.
Because it costs him nothing to
sell his cotton after it is baled,
roundlap bales being bought at gin
weights and without having to be
resampled.
Because the farmer can take his
roundlap bales home, if he desires,
and keep them without expense un
til he is ready -to sell, with the cer
tainty that when he is ready to sell
they will bring the highest market
price. Every bale put up at a round
lap ginnery is sampled before it
leaves the press and the number,
weight and grade are recorded.. The
farmer who holds his eotton in
roundlap bales can find out exactly
what it is worth on any day, by tel
egraphing, telephoning, writing or
calling at the roundlp plant where it
was ginned. He can sell his round-
lap bales any day on any market,
making delivery within a reasonable
time thereafter.
If the farmer wants to borrow
money on his cotton the American
Cotton Company will make liberal,
advances on roundlap bales at favor
able rates.
Besides the money he makes, the
farmer who hauls his cotton to
roundlap gin saves time and trouble
and has his cotton put up in a bale
that is more acceptable to the spin
ner than any other cotton package
made.
A South Georgia exchange says
A $5,000,000 stock company of Eng
lish capitalists, with Henry J. Lamar
of Macon, has secured options on
125,000 acres of land in different
•parts of Georgia, and propose to es
tablish a $1,000,000 plant for the
slaughtering of cattle, the canning
of fruit and other produce, and the
operating of refrigerating plants,
All that the company asks of the
people of Georgia is that the farm
ers supply it with the cattle and
produce, which it proposes to pre
pare for the English market. Let
it come soon, so our farmers may
turn their 5-cent cotton fields -into
orchards, truck gardens and cattle
pastures.
