The first report of heavy hogs
killed in Houston comity this sea
son comes from Ilollinshead in
the 9th district. Tbe pigs were
respectively 12 and 18 months
old, raised by Mr. J. E. Davidson
on the Hollinshead place and kill
ed last Monday.
The gross weight of the four
pigs was 1660 pounds, net weight,:
1887. The individual net weight;
of the pigs was 896, 343, 814 and;
284 poungs,
This is exceedingly good for the;
beginning of the season. We are;
ready to publish the weight of
other heavy Houston hogs. Mays
