$50,000,000 in bonds for completion of
the state’s highway system was over
whelmingly defeated at the polls, earlf

30,000 to 40,000 against.

Moultrie.—-Property loss estimated
at $15,000 resulted-from the burning
of a iarge barn on the Dan Baker
farm ini this county. Several hundred
bushels of. corn and other feedstuffs,
together with tnachihery and farm im
plements wefce. burned when the barn
was destroyed. The live stock kept in
the building was saved. No insurance
was. carried. The Baker barn is the
fourth one to be-burned'in the Mbul
trie., 'territory within the past few
weeks, and authorities, here are at'a
loss as to the cause of Hie fires.
