- New York.—The marriage of Jane
Grey, actress, aftd Riccardo Martin,
opera singer, on November 16, was re
vealed when they returned from a
honeymoon at Atlantic City. The wed

rizon, in 1918, Miss Grey has been
leading owman for John Barrymore,

Two Women Raid House In Bsntoif
Chattanooga, Tenn.—Two women of
Benton, talk county, Tennessee, be-
coming .infuriated over the failure of
their efforts to persuade - the officers
to raid a house here—suspecting that
liquor was being sold—swore out a
warrant tor the search of the home
of Clifford Brock. Unaided they per*
formed the task of searching the home*
finding two jugs of corn Uquor an&
other evidences of intoxicants. Mr.
Brocks’ house is on the same street
where an evangelist had been conduct*
lug a revival.
Hall Of Stones Thrown From Vesuvius
Naples, Italy.—Vomiting clouds of
smoke and a hall of hot stones, which
fell in a 300-toot radius, Mount Ve«
suvius is again in action. Strange
rumbling and thunders accompany the
eruption, which is causing anxiety
here. Despite the fact that the dem
onstration has been Increasing lit
force, scientists consider that public
apprehensions are not justified and
that the eruption will not last long.
A slight earthquake has been felt 00
the slopes of the mountains. Terror
has been spread for many miles.
