Mrs. Holt Skellio entertained at
a lovely formal tea Friday after
noon from six (o eight o'clock
honoring two recent brides, Mrs.
Peyion Skellie and Mrs. Aubrey
Anderson, and a bride-elect, Mi*s
Edna Chapman, whose wedding
will be a brilliant eveafc taking:
place Wednesday evening, July
15 at the bride's home.
Pink orepe myrtle formed the
decoration throughout the house.
In the receiving line were the
hostess and the guests of honor.
Assisting in entertaining were
Mrs. George Jordan, Mrs. Powers
Cooper, Mrs. Mamie Winn, and
Mrs. S. L. Norwood, Jr.
Mrs. Chas Allen, of Birmingham
Ala., and Miss Aurelia Cooper
presided ever the pnnch bowl.

Cooper, and Ann Bloodworth as
sisted in serving.
The color scheme of pink and
white was carried out in the de
licious ice course.
The guest list included about
seventy-five frionds.
ATTRACTIVE VISITORS HONORED

iss Helen Moore, of Atlanta,
and Miss Sue Rogers, of Miami*
Fla., the attractive guests of Miss
Catharine Crowell, were honored
by their hostess Friday afternoon
with a swimming: party at Hous
ton Lake and a delicious picnic
supper, consisting of salad and ice
courses, afterwards.
The guests included the mem
bers of the young contingent.
C1VITA NS HAVE UNUSUAL TREAT
The Perry Civitans were de
lighted with a musical program at]
their last meeting. Four of Perry's
own, though only one lives hero
now played and sang number after
number to very attentive listeners.
Miss Edna Chapman, who has
one of the best voices in this
seotion of the country, sang "If
Winter Comes" and "Look for the
Silver Lining." She was accom
panied by Mrs. Lewis Riley,
pianist, and Mrs. Charlie Harris,
violinist.
Mrs. Harris, accompanied by
Mrs. Riley, played "Souvenir"!
and "Annie Laurie.''
After this Mrs. Herbert Rice
sang several peppy numbers.
Miss Aurelia Cooper gave two
short readings.
