CARNIVAL A SUCCESS
The Mother Goose Carnival

was a huge success for it afforded
a delightful lime for those at
tending as well as realizing a neat

ARMISTICE DAY OBSERVED HERE
Yesterday was Armistice Day,
the seventh anniversary of the ces
sation of the Worid War hostili
ties, It was observed here with
beautiful and appropriate exercis
es held last night at the school
auditorium. The principal speak
er was Rev. W. K. Dennis, pastor
of the Perry Methodist Church,
w ho used as his theme, "The Pro
vidential Hand in the Discovery
and Development of America."
The auditorium stage was beau
tifully decorated with ferns, fl igs
and wreaths, an effective back
ground being made with the live
wreaths and flags. The wre.iths
were in memory of the deceased
World War Veterans of Houston
county. They are William Hous
er, McMurray Rainey, William
Dorsett. Claience Boone and
Robert White.
