PERRY CAFE BURGLARIZED
Burglars again got busy on the
job here Sunday night or early
Monday morning when the Perry
Cafe, on Carroll Street was broken
into and robbed of a considerable
amounl of cash.
Entrance was made by prizing
open the back door of the build
ing. A money sack containing about
$100 in cash and memoraudums of
Sunday's business were missing
when the Cafe opened for business
Monday morning. As far as can be
ascertained no merchandise was
stblen,
The money had been hidden
away under a counter when the
place was closed Sunday night.
This leads to the fact that
the thief or the thives had been
on the watch and knew where the
money could be found.
The frequent burglaries in the
City (five having occurred in the
past two weeks) has aroused the
citizens and efforts are being made
to apprehend the criminals and to
preveut future breakings. City
Council has offered a reward of
$100-00 for the apprehension of the
burglars with evidence to convict.
