Sunday in Perry Memorial
Gardens. Rev. Dan Hodges

Mr. and Mrs. Lewis H. Jacobs
of Perry and Troy C. Rowell
of Buchanan.

who died Monday night,

Mr. Moody was born in
Crawford County but had
lived most of his life in
Houston County. He was the
pump operator for the Perry
Fire Department and was al
so an employee of the Moo
dy Motor Company. He was
a member of the Perry First
Baptist Church and the Ma
sonic Lodge F & AM No. 35
in Perry.
Survivors include his wi
dow, Mrs. Pauline Morris
Moody of Perry; two sons,
Berry Moody and Morris
Moody, both of Perry; two
daughters, Mrs. Marianne
Huckabee and Miss Jeanie
Moody, both of Perry; three
brothers, Cecil Moody, Wal
lace Moody and Wilson Moo
dy, all of Perry; two sisters,
Mrs. Mary Todd of Hawkins
ville and Mrs. Willie Ruth
Whittington of Japan.

Lawhorn, Charlie Logue, B.
W. Bozeman, Pete Hender
son, Johnny Thompson and
Elmo Coleman.

Mr. Taylor
William D. “Billy” Taylor,
30, of Lake Joy Road, Rt. 1,
died unexpectedly early Mon
day in a Macon hospital.
Mr. Taylor, a native of Per
ry, attended Perry schools. He
was a mechanic for Chapman
Ford Tractor Company here,
and had served several years
in the U. S. Navy.
Survivors include his widow,
Mr. Jessie Erin Taylor of Per
ry; one son, William David
Taylor Jr. of Perry; and one
daughter, Linda Faye Taylor
of Perry; three sisters, Mrs.
Nadine Wilder and Mrs. Mittie
Gumming, both of Ft. Valley
and Mrs. Jennifer Spinks of
Marietta; two brothers Ray
Taylor of Ft. Valley and John
ny Taylor, stationed with the
U. S. Army in Okinawa; and
bis mother Mrs. William R.

Funeral services were held
Wednesday at 11 a. m. at
Houston Lake Baptist Church
with Rev. J. J. Morrow offici
ating. Burial was in Woodlawn
Cemetery.

Harris Chapman, and Harold L.

Services for Mrs. Ovidn
Smith Massey, 49, who died
Friday in the Houston County
Hospital, were held at 3 p.m.
Sunday in the Church of the
Nazarene, with burial in Perry
Memorial Gardens. Rev.
W.W. Thompson officiated.
Pallbearers were; John
Glenn, Pat Mashburn, Houston
Hutto, Johnny Tyndal, Rud
olph Johnson, James Flour
noy.
Mrs. Massey, a native of
Maryville, Tenn., had lived
here 12 years, moving from
Unadilla. She was a member
of the Church of the Nazarene.
Survivors include five
daughters, Mrs. E.H. Wright,
Mrs. Robert Robinson, Mrs.
Nancy Parker and Miss Melody
Massey, all of Perry, and Mrs.
W.A. Neal of Dunbar W.Va.; a
son, Robert Massey of Perry;
two sisters, Mrs. Joella Hick
man of Cleveland, Tenn., and
Mrs. Evelyn Haynes of Reids
ville, N.C.; three brothers,
Kenneth Smith, Howard Smith
and Jack Smith, all of Robins
ville, N.C.; and her mother,
Mrs. Stella Smith of Cleve
land, Tenn.
Watson-Hunt Funeral Home
was in charge.
Mrs. Leverett
Graveside services for Mrs,
Minnie Lee Leverett, 76, of
Atlanta, were held at 2:30 p.m.
Sun., in the Centerville Bap
tist Church Cemetery. She
was born in Houston County.
Mrs. Leverett is survived
by one son, Clarence Leverett
of Atlanta; two sisters, Mrs.
Ben McKinley and Mrs. Ocela
Haynes, both of Perry.
H.M. Patterson and Son
