EMILY MONTGOMERY
It is graduation time at 1
Perry High School again. For
the 218 students who will re
ceive diplomas Thursday,
(tonight), there are as many
different ways of life opened
to them and as many pieces of
advice that could be given.
Pattie Ann Pryor, daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Pryor, is
a member of this class and this
week received a letter from
Sister Theresa Kearney who
taught ■ her in the third and
six grades. She shared the
letter with me and 1 in turn
would like to pass on parts of
it to you.
With the passing of the
years, 1 have seen my students
receive their diplomas and I,
too, have thought of all the
times “1 stood and listened

children, said and which al
ways taught me so much more
than I ever taught you. One
thing you taught me is that the
sources of wisdom and truth
are less important than the wis
dom and truth themselves. It
doesn’t matter whether we learn
from a third grade child, a
college professor, or a book.
We must still rejoice about the
learning.”
Another paragraph goes like
this ‘‘l pray you will just stay
