Hobert Richards, Jr. were
wed March 11, 1972, in the
chapel of the First
Presbyterian Church of
Anderson, South Carolina.
The Reverend John Pridgen,
formerly of Perry, officiated
at the double ring ceremony
before an altar banked with
spring flowers.
The bride, daughter of Mr.
and Mrs. J. F. Leonard, Jr.,
was given in marriage by
her father. She was dressed
in a floor length gown of
natural lace trimmed with
self ruffles at the hem and
bodice. A pale pink satin
ribbon encircled the waist
and she wore her great
grandmother’s pink Cameo
brooch at the neck. In her
hair she wore a wreath of
pink and white flowers and
she carried a bouquet of pink
and white roses, carnations

and daisys. Mrs. Cynthia
Kornahrens of Summerville,
South' Carolina, was her
sisters matron of honor. She
was dressed in a full length
gown in shades of pink and
carried a nosegay bouquet in

The Crossroads United
Methodist Church announces
that its church sanctuary
will be open for prayer
between the hours of 12:00
noon and 12; 00 midnight this
Saturday April 1, 1972.
Devotional materials and
suggestions for use of the
time spent in the sanctuary
will be available.
The public is cordially
invited to come and spend
some time in prayer during

Barrett of Perry, announce
the engagement of their
daughter, Barbara Delle to
Rev. G. Lewis Wright of
Macon, who is the son of
Mrs. Ida S. Wright of
Atlanta, and the late Mr.
Andrew C. Wright of Atlanta.
Miss Barrett is the grand
daughter of the late Mr. and
Mrs. James Dexter Brooks
of Macon, and the late Mr.
and Mrs. Lawrence Bradley
Barrett of Winder, Ga.
Miss Barrett is an honor
graduate of Perry High
School and was a superlative
in her senior year . She is
also a graduate of the Macon
Hospital School of
Radiological Technology,
having received the
Mallinckrodt Award in 1967
for Outstanding Per
formance during her
training. Presently she is
employed as Instructor of
the X-Ray Department at the

Deibert were the weekend
guests of Mr. and Mrs. Gary
Deibert in Athens. They
attended the University’s
Drama and Art Depart
ments production of
“Gypsy.”
Major (ret.) and Mrs.
Earle R. Smith spent several
days in Bradenton, Fla. and
attended three Pittsburg
Pirate baseball games, also
visited Pirate City.
Mr. and Mrs. E. B. Page of
Macon visited Mr. and Mrs.

celebrated her 84th birthday,
Sunday and was honored at a
family dinner at the home of

Mr. Wright is the grandson
of Mrs. George Thomas
Suddeth of Atlanta, and the
late Mr, George Thomas
Suddeth of Atlanta. His
paternal grandparents are
the late Mr. and Mrs. Louis
Monroe Wright, also of
Atlanta. He attended Truett-
McConnell College and is a
graudate of Mercer
University in Macon -
Employed by the Bibb
County Board of Education,
Mr. Wright teaches 12th
grade English at Mark Smith
High School in Macon. He is
presently pastor of the New
Providence Baptist Church
in Wilkinson County.
The wedding will be
solemnized at the Peachtree
Baptist Church in Atlanta on
Tuesday, April 4 at 8
P.M. with members of both
immediate families at

“Prepare ye the way of the
Lord”. You hear of people
preparing for many things
today, well County Line has
been very busy preparing for
a revival.
We started with visitation
and talk, planning the
details. This past week was
spent in cottage prayer
meetings. Monday we met at
the home of Mr. and Mrs.
John Hammonds in
Hawkinsville. Rev. H. S.
Rycroft of Duboise Baptist
Church was the speaker.
Tuesday was a night of just
prayers and no special
speaker at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. Clarence Wilson
Klondike Road.
Wednesday night we met
at the Church with Rev.
Fordham speaking. Thur
sday the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Julian Folds was
opened for the prayer
meeting and we ended
Friday night at the home of
Rev. and Mrs. Kntrekin with
from a famous maker

people met at the Church
with their mops, brooms,
and energy to clean up! An
air of fun and fellowship was
over all and it didn’t take
long. I think everyone really
enjoyed it. Our Revival
started Sunday night with a
fair crowd and a very in
spiring and disturbing
sermon by our Evangelist

Mrs. Dora Goss has as her
guest this week her mother

Cochran, Ga.
Mr. and Mrs. James Lee

Mimms spent a few days last
week fishing at Georgetown
and Eufalla. Jeanie didn’t
say what kind of luck they
had but she sure did get a
dandy sunburn.
Harold Gray spent a few
days last week with his
family, Harold is a student at
Mercer.
Elaine Gray of Georgia
Southern is spending a short
vacation with her family.
We were happy to hear
that Buddy Lewis has
recovered from his operation
and able to return to Auburn
where he is a student.
Julian Folds spent a few
days last week fishing at
Georgetown.
Congratulations are in
order for Mr. and Mrs.
Andrew (Buck) Jones. They
have a new daughter named
Davina Jerrie.
Miss Connie Jackson of
Perry spent the week-end
with Elaine Wilson.
Bruce Wilson was honored
with a birthday party at the
home of his grandparents
Mr. and Mrs. Clarence
Wilson. Those attending
were: Mr. and Mrs. Allen
Wilson and Shane Wilson,
Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth
Wilson, Connie Jackson and
Elaine Wilson. After the
party the guests were taken
to see “Song of the South”.
