Periyan Takes Part
In Flight Course
Miss Rena K. Rider,
daughter of Mrs. Erma W.
Rider, Elko, Ga., attended
the 17th National Angel
Flight Conclave just con
cluded in Dallas.
The Angel Flight is an
honorary service
organization for college
women that supports the
objectives of the Arnold Air
Society (AAS). It meets
annually in conjunction with
the conclave of the honorary
professional association for
outstanding Air Force
Reserve Officers Training
Corps cadets.
Miss Rider, a member of
the Angel Flight unit at the
University of Georgia, was
one of 1952 coeds and cadets
who met to discuss
organizational programs for
the coming year and to hear
addresses by noted
aerospace leaders.
It marked the 24th annual
conclave of AAS, which is
named in honor of the late
General of the Air Force
H.H. “Hap” Arnold.
Miss Rider is a member of
the class of 1973 and is
majoring in real estate.
She is a 1969 graduate of
Perry (Ga.) High School.
