The reason for Jesus
coming was peace that could
only be through the shedding
of His blood. This was the
theme of Rev. Entrekin’s
sermon a few weeks ago. We
hear a lot about peace now.
Everyone seems to have
what they think is a plan that
would work, or they are
demanding that the
government “arrange”
peace for us. Everyone
wants peace but no one
wants to work for it.
There are many
definitions of peace. To some
it is a calm existence with
nothing to worry about, no
problems to upset our
serenity. To others, it means
a smug self-centered life
where the problems of others
never intrude. Still others
feel that an end of war
means peace.
Peace to a Christian should
mean belief in God and
peace of mind but never a
calm untroubled existence
because this isn’t peace but
stagnation! When a Christian
reaches the point that he has
no crosses to carry, he
should fall down on his knees
because he is in danger of
losing touch with God!

PERRY, GEORGIA, THURSDAY, APRIL 13,
Perry AFROTC Attends
Robins Staff Meeting
The Aerospace Education
Instructor, Lt. Col. Leo
Polnaszek, and five Staff
members from the Perry
AFJROTC program at
tended a staff meeting of the
19th Bomb Wing at Robins
Air Force Base on Monday,
April 3. Escorting the AEI
and staff members from
Perry were Ist Lt. Cox, the
President of the Junior
Officers Council of the 19th
Bomb Wing, and Ist Lt.
Roth, Vice-President of the
Junior Officers Council.
The Junior Officers
Council just recently
adopted the Perry AF
JROTC as part of the 19th
Bomb Wing. Lieutenants Cox
and Roth were very in
strumental in this adoption.
Attending this staff
meeting is part of an officers
training in the Junior ROTC
program. This teaches him
administration and the way
the Air Force basicly func
tions. The cadets actually
learned how the 19th copes
with some of its problems
and what some of these
problems are, and this is
considered good training on
the part of the cadet,
because it teaches him how
to deal with problems of his
own and if he needs help with
this problem where to go for
this help.
