CARD OF THANKS
The patronage of my
friends locally and world
wide over the years has been
deeply appreciated by me
and my family. You have
made my business a success
by your faith and confidence.
Every moment one lives is
different from the other,
especially in the Floral in
dustry. The good, the bad,
the hardships, the joys, the
tragedies, loves and hap
piness are all interwoven
into one. You cannot
separate the good from the
bad.
I have had many happy
experiences and have been
through a lot and suffered a
great deal. We must give to
life as much as we get from
it. I have tried to use my God
given talents to the best of
my ability by giving the
public the best service
possible.
I am deeply grateful to my
employees for their loyal and
capable support through the
years. Without them I could
not have carried on my
business.
The creator designed the
blade of grass, the plant, and
the flower before man ap
peared on this earth.
Together with all his
adornments, therefore,
flowers, are the acme of
color and beauty and should
be first honor, present at
every ceremony. They lift
the spirit and glorify the
grace, charm, character and
life of men. women and
children everywhere.
The flower, the
reproductive organism from
which the nectar of life
flows, their elixir feeds the
stamen and the pistil; the
Father and the Mother of all
vegetation increation, the
vegetation in creation, the
fourth seed to replenish the
earth for the benefit of every
living Soul. Without the
flower we would be poor
indeed.
Thank you,
Myrl Norwood

ijft -X CULLEN TALTON
J CANDIDATE FOR SHERIFF
■L iHp OF HOUSTON COUNTY
On May 2nd I announced that I would be a candidate for Sheriff of Houston
County. Since that time I have had the opportunity of talking with many of you
personally concerning my candidacy for sheriff.
On June 29th I published my platform in the Houston Home Journal and the
Warner Robins Sun outlining what I felt was a positive program for upgrading
law enforcement in Houston County.
On Wednesday, July 26th, the incumbent sheriff began a campaign apparently
aimed at discrediting me through misleading newspaper advertisements im
plying that the Houston County Sheriff’s office would be moved from Warner
Robins if I am elected sheriff.
IT IS NOT MY INTENTION AND HAS NEVER BEEN MY INTENTION TO
CLOSE OR MOVE EITHER OFFICE. The implication present in the Sheriff’s
advertisement can only e construed as an attempt to mislead the voters of
Houston County.
It appears that the incumbent sheriff plans to wage a campaign based on
misleading implications and false alligations.
I think the people of Houston County want to see a campaign based on FACTS
not UNPROVEN ALLIGATIONS. I WILL base my campaign for Sheriff on
FACTS and ISSUES.
