Atlanta Carlton returned
from a trip to New York City
to spend Father’s Day with his
parents. He has returned to
Atlanta where he resides.

Lion’s Club convention held in
Columbus June 9, 10, 11.

The Stembridge family
convened lor a reunion on
Sunday, June 9, at the
Ochlahatchee Club Mouse in
Perry. A basket dinner was
served at 1:00 o’clock
proceeded by an impressive
invocation by Mrs. Camilla

Mrs Lewis B Smyth and
Miss Clare Smyth left last
weekend for New England and
Quebec. Enroute they will
visit the campus of the
University of Vermont at
Burlington. On their return
they will visit their cousins,
Mr. and Mrs Arthur L. Potter
in North Conway, New
Hampshire, and Dr. and Mrs.
Charles E. Stearns in
Billerica, Massachusetts.
Mrs. Willye Goode of
Bronwood spent several days
last week with Mr and Mrs.
Luther Mosteller and family.
Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy
Gebney of Freemont, Neb.,
visited the Jim O’Neal family
several days this week.

was given a silver spoon and
fork for being the youngest.
Mrs. Avery Lee was presented
a placque in appreciation for
her service through the years
to the reunion.
Several groups took part in
a program of songs. Victor
Howland, Sr., of Decatur
played a trumpet selection
accompanied by Lloyd
Stembridge of Macon on the
piano. Lloyd also played the
piano during the dinner hour
and also for the group singing
of God Bless America at the
close of the meeting.

Steve Peavy will return
home this week from the
Medical Center of Central
Georgia where he underwent
knee surgery last Thursday.
Steve is the son of Mr. and
Mrs. Lamar Peavy.
Mrs. Frances Manship has
returned from a three-months
visit with her daughter, Mrs.
M L. Brown, Jr., in Bitburg,
Germany. Miss Elizabeth
Hancock, formerly of Perry,
and now living in Sarasota,
Florida, joined Mrs. Manship
and Mrs. Brown for an in
teresting trip to the Scan
dinavian countries where they
visited the cities of
Copenhagen, Stockholm and
Oslo. They also visited the
tulip gardens in Holland.
