MESSAGE I
To The Citizens Os Houston County, I
• Electing a school superintendent for one of the largest school systems
in Georgia is SERIOUS BUSINESS. The future direction of your child’s
education depends directly upon the PROVEN ABILITY, SUC- I
CESSFUL PERFORMANCE, AND PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT OF Ict-
THE SUPERINTENDENT. I y
• A candidate for the office should not make wild promises. Much of
what a superintendent can do is determined by State and Federal
Laws, the Board of Education, and how much money can be secured
from federal, state, and local sources. ■
• I stand on my record of HARD WORK and PROVEN AC
COMPLISHMENTS that is providing Houston County children with I
one of the best school systems found anywhere. Statewide test results I
prove this fact. Our students are achieving at or above the national
average in all academic areas. Our schools are ranked among the top
four systems in Georgia, and this has been achieved at a price below
the average per-pupil cost in Georgia.
• The only way to maintain good schools is to CONTINUE TO IM
PROVE. MY PLEDGE TO YOU IS TO CONTINUE TO UPGRADE
AND ADVANCE EVERY AREA OF EDUCATION IN HOUSTON I
COUNTY. 1;
• I WILL SINCERELY APPRECIATE YOUR SUPPORT AND VOTE
TO RE-ELECT ME AS YOUR SUPERINTENDENT OF SCHOOLS. I
