Swimming at the Perry Country Club pool last Thursday were Tracy
Bloodworth and George Hunt, here seemingly more interested in each other
than the water. Tracy is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Jerome Bloodworth. and
George is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Riley Hunt.

Bruce Morgan doe* “a nice one" into the Perry Country Club swimming
pool. Last Thursday morning the June balmy weather induced many Perry
area youngsters to “get in the swim” of things and visit the closest pool. Some
were accomplished swimmers, others just neophytes, but all were clearly
having fun.

McDaniel, 60, of 1302
Georgia Ave., died
Thursday July 1, 1976 In a
local hospital after a
lengthy illness. Services
were held at 5 p.m. Friday
July 2 In the Perry United
Methodist Church. Rev. J.
B. Smith, Rev. Tom
Johnson and Elder George
Riley Hunt officiated.
Burial was in Perry
Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were: W.C.
Langston, Lawrence
Mostel ler, Luther
Mosteller, Charlie Logue,
Jim Van Dyke, Jimmy
Abrams, Ed Weaver, and
Hollis Albritton.
Mrs. McDaniel, a
lifelong resident of
Houston County, was a
member of Perry United
Methodist Church and a
postal clerk of Perry Post
Office. She was a member
of the United Federation of
Postal Clerks.
Survivors Include her
husband, Frank McDaniel
of Perry; a son, William
"Billy" McDaniel of
Perry; a sister, Mrs.

mree brothers, W.M.
Langston, I.M. Langston
Jr. and Franklin Langston,
all of Perry; a grandson.
Watson-Hunt Funeral
Home had charge of
arrangements.
Rodman
Edward Theodore
Rodman Jr., 50, ot 820 Ross
St., died Wednesday June
30, 1976, In a local hospital
after a brief Illness. Ser
vices were held at 3 p.m.
Friday July 2, in St.
Christopher Episcopal
Church. Rev. Tom Arledge
officiated. Burial was in
Perry Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers were: Kevin
Monroe, Daniel Scott,
Edward Scott, Tom Scott,
Thomas Scott, and Jack
McGuire.
Mr. Rodman, a native of
Owega, N.Y., had lived in
Perry two years after
moving trom Melbourne,
Fla. He was a civil service
employee at Robins Air
Force Base as an elec
tronic technician and was
a member of St.
Christopher Episcopal
Church and the Moose
Lodge Mr. Rodman was a
veteran of the Korean
Conflict.
Survivors include his
wife, Mrs. Della M.
Rodman of Perry; a
daughter. Miss Terri L.
Rodman of Perry; mother,
Mrs. Ruth Rodman of
Lakeland, Fla.; a sister,
Mrs. Stella Scott of Ft.
Myers, Fla.

donations were made to
the American Cancer
Society.
Douglas
Frank Henry Douglas
Sr., 67, ot 1328 Parkway
Drive, died Wednesday
June 30, 1976 in a local
nursing home. Services
were- held at 11 a.m.
Friday July 2 in Hayneville
Baptist Church. Rev. J.J.
Morrow and Rev. Johnny
Cook officiated. Burial was
in Perry Memorial Gar
dens.
Pallbearers were:
Herbert Walton, Dan
Nelson, W.T. Nipper, D.K.
Roughton, Wayne Stewart,
and Norman Fowler.
Mr. Douglas, a native of
Swanee, Tenn., was retired
from Penn-Dixie Cement
Corporation after 44 years.
He was a member of
Houston Lake Baptist
Church.
Survivors include his
wife, Mrs. Mae T. Douglas
of Perry; three daughters,
Mrs. Sara Anderson of
Savannah, Mrs. R.L.
Stewart of Clinchfield and
Mrs. Margaret Allen of
Perry; a son, Frank
Douglas Jr. ot Perry;
three sisters, Mrs. Daisey
Land of Warner Robins,
Mrs. Clara Denson of
Wisconsin and Mrs. Fred
Runyon of Birmingham,
Ala., and a brother, W.W.
Douglas, Sr. of Warner
Robins.
