Mrs. Gus Bannister of
Warner Robins and
King's Chapel's oldest
member worshipped
there last Sunday.
Everyone was happy she
was able to be there.

March 16
A public hearing on the
reapplication for Title
VII funds to be submitted
by the Older Americans
Council of Middle
Georgia, Inc., will be
held: March 16, 1978 2:30
p.m., Tattnall Square
Presbyterian Church,
1096 College Street,
Macon.
The Older Americans
Council administers the
Title VII Nutrition
Program for the Elderly
in Middle Georgia. There
are currently eight senior
centers serving a total
daily average of 340
noonday meals, Monday
through Friday. In ad
dition to the noonday
meal, supporting ser
vices are provided to
participants who are 60+
such as transportation,
shopping assistance,
information and referral,
health and welfare
counseling, nutrition
education, escort and
recreational activities.
Citizen involvement is
encouraged at this public
hearing. We want to
obtain suggestions on
how we can best meet the
needs of the elderly
within the scope of our
Title VII Nutrition
Program.

Winners At HLCC
Duplicate Bridge was
played at Houston Lake
Country Club on Thur
sday evening, February
23. Taking first place
honors was the team of
AAarj and Bill Carson, In
second place were Jo
Drew and Eleanor
Panarese and in third
place was the team of
Kopie O'Neal and Kay
Allen.
On Wednesday mor
ning, four tables par
ticipated in the Duplicate
game. The team of Jewell
Smith and Doris Hulbert
tallied the greatest
number of points to take
first place. In second
place were Marj Carson
and Frances Manship; In
third place was the team
of Jo Dunning and Kay
Allen and in fourth place
was the team of Marian
Stubbs and Ann Hick
man.
Duplicate bridge was
played Thu rsday
evening, March 2. Five
tables participated in this
event. Coming in first, for
the second week in a row,
were Marj and Bill
Carson. The team of Jo
Drew and Doris Hulbert
came in second;
Katherine and Bill Willis
were third and in fourth
place was the team of
Scotty and Gene Weems.
Duplicate Bridge is
played each Thursday
evening at 7:30 and
members of Houston
Lake Country Club are
invited to come out to the
club and join in the
competition.
