marriage at two o'clock,
Saturday afternoon,
March 25th, at the First
United Methodist Church
in Umatilla, with a pretty
and impressive
ceremony, performed by
the Rev. Ben Spivey,
pastor of the church.
The nuptial music was
rendered by Mrs. Byron
Smith, of Tallahassee,
Fla., sister of the groom,
organist; and Don
McLarin, Leesburg, Fla.
and Byron Smith, soloist.
The bride had as her
maid of honor. Miss Liz
Bennett, of Tavares, Fla.
The bridesmaids were,
Mrs. James W. Parrish of
Umatilla, Mrs. David
Douglas of Smyrna,
Georgia, and Miss Debbie
Maluda of Eustis, Fla.
The flower girl was
little Miss Lea Ann
Faulkner, cousin of the
bride, of Boulder City,
Nevada. The ring bearer
was Christopher Sean
Smith, nephew of the
groom of Tallahassee,
Florida.
The bride was given in
marriage by her brother,
Frank Reid Stewart 111.
She was lovely in her
gown of fluid white
Qiana, designed along
empire A line. The
closely fitted bodice
featured a high neckline
yoke and trumpet sleeves
of sheer English net
outlined by dainty Venice
lace. The softly flowing
skirt was edged by
Venice lace continuing
around the built-in
Chapel train. Triple

layers of handkerchief
cut illusion accented by
Venice lace appliques
were attached to a lace
Camelot cap, forming the
magnificent wedding
veil. The bride's flowers
were a cascade bouquet
of coral roses, baby's
breath, and star burst
pompoms.
Mr. Harry Danson of
Miami, Fla., was best
man for the groom.
Ushers were Mr. Art
Ayris, of Leesburg, Fla.,
Mr. Bruce McCandless of
Eustis, Fla., and Mr. Dee
McQuire, of Apopka, Fla.
The bride's mother
formerly of Perry, Ga.,
wore a long flowing
chiffon gown, of soft coral
and green, floral print on
a cream background,
with a high ruffled
neckline, long sleeves,
ending with deep ruffles.
Her corsage was of green
and yellow orchids.
The groom's mother,
wore a long apricot gown
of Qiana, with a cowl
neckline and a matching
eyelet jacket. Her cor
sage was of light green
orchids.
The reception was held
immediately after the
wedding in the church
social hall.
After the reception, the
bride and groom left for a
honeymoon to Daytona
Beach. The bride wore a
bone, light weight knit
suit, with matching ac
cessories. After the
bride's graduation from
Lake Sumter Community
College, May 2nd, the
couple will live in Gaeta,
Italy, where Mr. Jeter
will be stationed, with the
United States Navy.

Area all services. Junior
ROTC Drill Meet at

Saturday.

male drill team that will

are: Cadets Terry
Askew, Bart Burnette,

Steve Johnson, Scotty

will be under the com
mand of Cadet
Lieutenants Scott Shaffer
for their mandatory
competition, and Billy
Joye for exhibition drill.

Changes Set
At Base
Five major staff
changes within the
Warner Robins Air
Logistics Center (ALC)
have been announced by
Maj. Gen. John R.
Spalding Jr., commander
of the Warner Robins
ALC.
The following shifts
were made:
Lt. Col. Robert F.
McCoy, present chief of
the Directorate of
Materiel Management's
C-130 Systems Branch
will become chief of the
Directorate of Main
tenance Aircraft
Division.
Col. Howard H. Mc-
Whorter Jr., assistant to
the director, Plans and
Programs Directorate,
will become chief of
Quality Assurance. He
will replace Col. Joseph
H. Goble, who is the new
chief of Maintenance's
Industrial Systems
Engineering Division.
Col.’ Verne B.
Hildebrandt, who had
been chief of Main
tenance's Industrial
Systems Engineering
Division, moves to the
position of chief of the
Resources Management
Division.
Col. Sam B. Barnett,
who was chief of Main
tenance's Resources
Management Division,
becomes chief of Materiel
Management's C-130

Mr. and Mrs. Tom Huff
for Easter dinner. There
were around 35 guests
there. Later in the af
ternoon they visited Mr.
and Mrs. Wimp Huff for
an egg hunt.
Mrs. Hazel Huff,
Sherrie Rogers and the
baby visited with
relatives in Rossville and
also toured Plains.
Friday Mrs. Huff,
Sherrie, and Mrs. Myrtle
Henson went to
Tallahassee, Fla.
Congratulations are in
store for Mr. and Mrs.
Ray Gene Aultman. Their
baby daughter weighing 8
lbs and 7 oz. was born
Tuesday, March 21, 1978.
They named her Heather
Nicole Aultman.
Norris Bedgbod visited
with his mother Mrs.
Lillian Rowland and his
sister Mrs. Betty Jo
Singletary in Cordele
Sunday.
A birthday celebration
was held for Derrell
Etheridge at the home of
his grandparents Mr. and
Mrs. L.B. Fowler Easter
Sunday March 26. Derrell
celebrated his 22nd birth
day. Family and friends
enjoyed the fellowship
with one another.
Easter dinner for the
E.N. Fowler family was

held at the home of Mr.
and Mrs. Marvin Fowler
and boys. Dinner and an
egg hunt were among the
festivities.
Mrs. Hazel Fowler is
presently a patient at the
Warner Robins Hospital.

recovery.
