Bureau Womens Com
mittee chairman.
The annual contest,
sponsored by Georgia
Farm Bureau Women's
Committees and dairy
farmers of Georgia, Is
open to any resident of
the state young, old,
male or female. And the
grand prize winner will
spend four days and fhree
nights on a luxurious
Caribbean Cruise.
"Entries need not be
original but they must
contain milk or other
dairy foods as a major
ingredient and they must
be considered desserts,"
Mrs. Sasser said.
Deadline for entering
the contest is May 1.
Completed entry forms
must be submitted to the
Houston Farm Bureau
office by that date.
"We will have our
contest May 9th at the
Perry Agricultural
Building," Mrs. Sasser
announced.

and complete directions
for preparation and the
finished product, ac
cording to Mrs. Sasser.
The contest is held each
year during June Dairy
Month promotion.

Bike-A-Thon Slated
At St. Christopher’s
The tirst Wheels For
Life Bike-A-Thon to
benefit St. Jude
Childrens' Hospital will
be held April 22, 1978
beginning at St.
Christopher churchyard,
Ann and Dave Coley,
committee chairmen said
today. Riders will be
asking Perry citizens to
sponsor them by pledging
a contribution to St. Jude
Hospital for each mile
they ride.
"There is only one
research center in the
world that Is solely
dedicated to conquering
childhood cancer and
other terrible diseases of
children" Mr. Coley said.
"That place Is St. Jude
Childrens' Hospital."
"Since St. Jude
Hospital is providing

special biker's back

Danny Thomas is sup

public contributions and
charges nothing for Its
services. This Blke-A-
Thon is an effort to assist
the hospital continue in
this manner.
This Bike-A-Thon will
be over a two mile
course. Each rider will
have a lap card and the
card will be punched
between each lap. When a
participant has com
pleted as many laps as
possible the rider will
then turn in the lap card
to a team member
stationed at St.
Christopher Church.
