united in marriage at The
Church of Jesus Christ of
Latter Day Saints In
Warner Robins at 10:00
a.m. on Saturday, March
25.
The bride is the
daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Raymond J. Hooten of
Perry. The groom is the
son of William K. Berrie
of Cochran and Mrs.
Murval Benson of Warner
Robins.
Bishop McKay Willis
performed the double
ring ceremony at the
church altar decorated
with an arrangement of
mixed spring flowers. A
program of wedding
music was presented by
organist, Mrs. Warren
Carter and flutist, Mrs.
Liz Klepko. Mrs. Bruce
Blakemore was soloist
and she was ac
companied at the organ
by her husband, Bruce
Blakemore.
Ronnie Garrett of
Warner Robins stood with
his brother-in-law as best
man. The ushers were
Joe Hooten of Crestvlew,
Fla., cousin of the bride
and Rex Benton of North
Carolina, brother-in-law
of the groom.
Mrs. Alan R. Millan of
Savannah attended her
sister as matron of honor.
Miss Martha Marie
Hooten of Perry, another
sister, was maid of honor.
They were dressed alike
in long, princess style
pink dresses with lace
capes and carried
bouquets of pink and
white daisies.
The junior bridesmaid
was Miss Wendy Benton.
Rikki and Becky Dawkins
of Warner Robins all
nieces of the groom, were
flower girls. They wore
long, white dresses with
pink ribbons. Their
flowers were pink and
white daisies.

The bride, given in
marriage by her father,
was lovely in her gown of
white qiana. It was styled
with a stand up collar and
open neckline. The bodice
and long sleeves were
appliqued with dainty
lace. Her veil of illusion
was attached to a band of
lace. She carried a
bouquet of white daisies
and baby's breath.
Mrs. Hooten chose for
her daughter's wedding a
cream dress with a lace
jacket and pink carnation
corsage. The groom's
mother Mrs. Benson,
wore a lovely dove gray
dress and a pink car
nation corsage. Mrs. C.C.
Parish of Lockhart, Ala,
maternal grandmother,
was attired in a beige
floral dress and jacket
and a white carnation
corsage.
Immediately following
the ceremony, Mr. and
Mrs. Hooten entertained
at a reception in the
fellowship hall of the
church.
The bride's table, laid
with a white lace cloth,
was centered with the
three tiered wedding
cake, daintly embossed
with pink roses and
topped with a pair of
doves. The cake was cut
and served by Mrs. Rex
Benton. Mrs. Ronnie
Garrett presided at the
punch bowl. Miss
Brldgett Lewis and Mrs.
Mark Hopkips assisted in
entertaining and serving.
Miss Janet Millar Invited
the guests to register In
the bride's book.
When the couple left for
a wedding trip to
Savannah,, the bride
changed to a beige
pantsuit.
The groom's mother
entertained members of
the wedding party at a
rehearsal dinner on
Friday evening at the
Robins Air Force Base
Officer's Club.
Prior to the wedding
Miss Hooten was honored
at a miscellaneous
shower at the home of
Mrs. Donald Golder on
March 15. Mrs. Tom
Dean entertained with
Mrs. Golder. The honoree
was presented a corsage
of tiny kitchen utensils.
The hostess' gift was a
hostess set of stainless
steel.

was bridal satin
fashioned with a
sweetheart neckline, long
sleeves and a chapel
train. The veil featured a
hand rolled scalloped
edge.
Attending the wedding
was the bride's grand
mother, Mrs. Mary F.
evening.

weekend at Hard-Labor

groom's parents, Mr. and
Mrs. Troy M. Raines, Jr.
entertained the wedding
party with a rehearsal
dinner at the New Perry
Hotel.
College, Macon.
The groom-elect is the
grandson of Mr. and Mrs.
Roy Bloodworth of Elko,
Ga. and of Mrs. Francis
Ellis and the late Mr.
Ellis Sr. of Grovania. He
is a senior at Georgia
Southwestern College and
will receive his degree in
Physical Education in
Americus. He is em
ployed by Kellwood
Company.
The wedding is planned
for Saturday, June 3 at 3
p.m. at the First Baptist
Church of Perry.

Mrs. Pittard
Mrs. Steve Pittard, the
former Miss Susan
Brown, was entertained
at a series of bridal
parties in the weeks prior
to her wedding.
Mrs. Malcolm Davis
and her daughter, Mrs.
Stan Wills were hostesses
for a miscellaneous
shower on March 11.
Twelve friends joined the
honoree for the delightful
party. The centerpiece
for the refreshment table
was a col lander arranged
with greenery and
wooden cooking utensils
that was given to the
honoree. The hostesses'
gift was a crystal salt and
pepper set.
A shower tea on Sun
day, March 19 was given
by Mrs. Clifford Bragg,
Mrs. Wanda Bragg, Miss
Cheryl Bragg, Mrs.
Wanda Carter and Mrs.
Sara White. Ap
proximately fifty friends
of the honoree and her
mother called between
the hours of three and
five at the Bragg home in
Holly Hills. Beautiful
spring flowers were used
to decorate the garden
room of the home. Mrs.
Paula Abbott, cousin of
the bride-to-be, furnished
a program of music. The

roses.
Brunch was served for
the Brown family on
Sunday morning before
the wedding in the garden
room of the Clifford
Bragg home. Sixteen
guests enjoyed the oc
casion. Mrs. Margaret
Puchardp of Eugene,
Oregon was a special
guest. Pink azaleas,
white bridal wreath and
white irises decorated the
tables.
