Program
To Help
Elderly
The Program of the
Houston County Council
on Aging Inc., “Meals on
Wheels” will deliver a
special holiday dinner, to
more than eighty ill and
lonely elderly persons.
The cheerful thirty
eight volunteers who
deliver the meals, will
also deliver some sur
prises, several of which
were made by the Girl
Scout Troop No. 157 of
Warner Robins. Other
friends are planning little
gifts, also.
The program is now
being funded by the
United Way of Houston
County, Middle Georgia
Community Action
Agency (MGCAA), and
private contributors.
The M.G.C.A.A. was to
have been a one year
support only, as the need
was so great and no
monies were available
from other sources, the
benefits were extended
for one more year.
Next fall, other support
must be obtained or the
program will be
drastically curtailed,
which will necessitate
serving fewer persons.
