Rev. Dan Ariail, pastor of the Frist Baptist
Church of Perry, looks on as Perry Mayor
Barbara Calhoun signs a proclamation
designating November 24 through 29 as PAL
Week. The purpose of PAL Week is to encourage
participation in the annual community-wide
Project Agape Love, which provides Christmas
food and gifts to underprivileged families. After
signing the proclamation. Mayor Calhoun said,
"The people in Perry actually respond better to
projects like this than any other community I
hnow. We really don't have to remind them to
share with those that are less fortunate than we
are.” Maxine Marshall, at the Bank of Perry,
will accept monetary contributions to PAL. For
information about other contributions, contact
Rev. Ariail.

Thought for the week;
If any one would tell you
the shortest, surest way
to make all happiness and
all perfection, he must
tell you to make it a ule
to yourself to thank and
praise God so everything
that happens to you. For
it is certain that whatever
seeming calamity
happens to you, if you
thank and praise God for
it, you turn it into a
blessing. Could you,
therefore, work miracles,
you could not do more for
yourself than by this
thankful spirit; for it
heals with a word
speaking, and turns all
that it touches into
happiness.
