There’s good news for the thousands of George
Burns’ fans and those of us who thoroughly
enjoyed him in “Oh, God!”
That good news is that he has made “Oh, God!
Book II” and its now playing at the Crossroads
Cinema here in Perry.
This very funny movie takes up where the
original left off, with George Burns playing a
very human acting God.
Some people may be offended by Burns comic
actions as God, but most will accept it as good,
clean fun.
Like most follow up movies, “Oh, God! Book
II” is not as funny as the original, but it still has
many good laughs and is a movie that most with
an open mind will enjoy.
It carries a PG rating for some off-color
language, but by today’s movie standards, is
fairly mild.
This Warner Brothers hit stars George Burns
in the lead role, with Suzanne Pleshette, David
Birney and newcomer Louanne in the supporting
roles.
