Longer days allowing families
more time to spend out of the
house, coupled with annual vaca

Rollins Protective Service rec
ommends that now is the time to
crime-proof your home.
“Crime-proofing your home is an
important thing to do before leav
ing on summer vacation,” recom
mends Judy Donner, consumer spe
cialist for Rollins.
To keep your home from being a
crime target, Donner suggests pre
ventive tips including, form a
neighborhood watch group, stop
mail and newspaper deliveries, in
stall automatic timers on key
..gilts, install extra locks, maintain
lawn care services, leave a radio or
television playing, arrange for a
friend to check the house daily and
keep a care parked in the driveway.
“These simple steps can save your
family from the mental anguish and
economic loss of coming home to
find the house was robbed,” Donner
said.
“A few low-cost precautions could
save the priceless sentimental valu
ables lost to an unprotected home,”
she said.
