On November 23, 1992 the Georgia
Department of Transportation will hold a
public information meeting concerning
the proposed projects NH-214-1(1) &
NH-75-1(213) Houston County. The
meeting will be held from 4:00 p.m. to
7:00 p.m. at the Perry High School
Cafeteria located on North Avenue,
Perry, Geogria
Projects NH-214-1 (1) & NH-75-1 (213),
Houston County comprise the section of
the West Perry bypass from C.R.
536/Elko Road to U.S. 341/S.R. 7,
including a proposed diamond
interchange at I-75 south of Perry.
would begin at the intersection of Elko
Road and hay road and proceed west on
new location north of and parallel to hay
Road (Hay Road would be obliterated),
then turn northwest crossing over I-75.
A full diamond interchange is proposed
at this location - project NH-75-1(213),
Houston County. The alignment would
continue northwest on new location and
cross U S 41/S.R 7 at-grade. The
alignment would continue northwest
then turn north intersecting SR 127 at
grade. From SR. 127, the alignment
would continue north bridging Big Indian
Creek. The alignment would continue
north parallel to and west of Moss Oak
Road crossing the central of Gerogia
Railroad and Valley Drive at-grade
(Moss Oak Road would be obliterated).
From Valley Drive, the alignment would
continue north bridging Bay Creek, then
turn northeast and intersect U.S.
341/S R 7 at-grade with project NH-214-
1(2), Houston County - the northern
portion of the West Perry Bypass.
The proposed typical section would
consist of a four-lane divided section
(two 12-foot lanes in each direction
separated by a 44-foot wide depressed
grassed median) for the entire project.
The proposed right-of-way would be 200'
minimum from Elko Road to Valley Drive
and 150' minimum from Valley Drive to
U.S. 341/S.R 7. The project length
would be approximately 5.60 miles.
Representatives from the Department
of Transportation will be available from
4:00 p.m to 700 p.m. with plans and
displays. The public will have an
opportunity to attend the meeting at its
convenience to ask questions and
discuss the project with a Department
representative A court reporter will be
available during this time to allow the
public an opportunity to make comments
about the project. These comments will
be included in the transcript of the
meeting

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE
ROBINS AIR FORCE BASE
JOINT LAND USE STUDY
The Policy Committee of the RAFB
Joint Land Use Study will hold a public
hearing regarding the proposed
contents of the plan. This study, which
will be prepared by the Middle Georgia
Regional Development Center in
cooperation with Robins Air Force Base,
the cities of Macon and Warner Robins,
and Houston, Bibb, and Twiggs
Counties, will evaluate the potential
conflicts between aircraft operations at
the Air Force Base and surrounding
development patterns.
Recommendations will be developed in
the study to encourage future land uses
that will be compatible with Robins Air
Force Base and, where possible, to
reduce existing land use conflicts All
interested citizens are encouraged to
attend.
The objectives of the hearing are:
1 to explain the purpose and primary
goals of the study;
2. to explain how the Air Force evaluates
aircraft noise and hazard impacts, and
3. to solicit public input regarding air
hazard impacts that should be
addressed in the study.
