SELLING YOUR HOUSE
By Judy
Free
. •*»? THREE'S A
CROWD
*
Prospective homebuyers are looking for
the house that's right for their needs where
their furniture and their lifestyle will fit
comfortably. And even if they are going
through your house, it isn't your house they’ll
buy, but theirs.
The buyers trying to fit into a house ought
not be distracted by the people who live in the
house now. They shouldn't have to feel like
intruders in someone else's privacy as they
prowl through the rooms or open closets or
poke around the basement. They should feel
free to ask questions without embarrassing
themselves or the homeowner.
That's why we recommend the owners make
their homes as attractive as possible and dis
creetly disappear while we show the house to
prospects. It's our job to match the prospect
to the house, show it effectively and then
close the sale. If there are objections, we don't
take them personally and we re ready with
"yes, but" answers that contain built-in sales
points.
