Mr. and Mrs. Robert Pelchat
wed at First Baptist Church
Bessie Emma Cochran and
Robert Louis Pelchat, both of
Perry, were married Aug. 22, 1992
at 1 p.m. at First Baptist Church in
Perry with the Rev. James Everett
Shipley officiating.
Music was provided by Sara
Branan Cochran, sister-in-law of the
bride of Fairbum, who sang "Love
Will Be Our Home" and
Christopher Alan Murrell of Perry
who sang "The Lord's Prayer".
Pianist was Jennifer Gayle Nunn of
Perry and Organist was Paul
Andrew Flowers also of Perry.
Parent of the bride is Mrs.
William Owen Cochran of Perry.
Parents of the groom arc Mrs.
Jeanninc Turgcon Pelchat and Mr.
Guy Magclla Pelchat, both of
Indialantic, Fla.
The bride, escorted to the alter by
her brother William Owen Cochran
Jr., of Fairbum, and given in mar
riage by her mother, wore a white
silk shantique bridal dress with a
sweetheart neckline and periff three
quarter length sleeves. The bodice
and sleeves had schiffli lace ap
pliques with pearls and sequins. The
back of the bodice was accented
with covered buttons. The skirt had
shiffli lace appliques with pearls
and sequins from the waist of the
skirt. The skirt and train were edged
with beaded lace. The train was
semi-cathedral length with lace,
pearls and sequin appliques
throughout the train. The headpiece
and veil was wreath style with
pearls and sequins. It also had iri
descent sequin leaves and flowers.
The veil had a ruffled periff and two
tier veil which was fingertip length.
She carried a bouquet of white
roses.
Margaret Cochran Blackstock,
sister of the bride of Greer, S.C.,
was the bride's Matron of Honor.
Bridesmaids were Danna Blocker
Demos of Duluth, Hope Carney
Derancy of Jackson, Danna Peck
Evans, cousin of the bride of
Palmetto, Cynthia Montgomery
Greene of Cordelc and Elizabeth
Messer Flowers and Angela
McKinley, both of Perry. They
wore black and white two piece
brocade suits with a white lace
yolk. Tea length skirt, jeweled
neckline jacket with white lace bib
and pearl buttons. They carried long
stem while roses.
Guy Magclla Pelchat served as
the groom's Best Man.
Groomsmen were William Dozier
Blackstock Jr., brother-in-law of the
bride of Greer, S.C., William Owen
Cochran Jr., Raymond Dennis
Peavy of Perry, Guy Yves Pelchat,
brother of the groom of St. Louis,
Mo., John Maurice Pelchat, brother
of the groom of Norcross and
Michael Thomas Pizzolato of
Macon.
The bride's mother chose a pink
chaulang two piece suit with
matching piping and pink pearl de
sign jewel neckline and piping and
pearls repeated on the sleeves.
The fashionable look of the
mother of the groom was created by
an asymmetrical shirred lace bodice,
with a jewel neckline and long lace
sleeves with a floral design. The
skirt was a tea length chiffon.
Programs were given out by
Tiffany Klein of Gainesville and
Melanie Edison, niece of the bride
of Palmetto.
The bride's books were kept by
Sara Hall of Hawkinsvillc and
Becky Arnall of Chattanooga,
Tcnn.
The reception followed in the
church fellowship hall.
Servers were Kcndcll Gardner of
Macon, Sherry McDonald of Stone
Mountain, Kay Grier of Perry, Jami
Dennis, cousin of the bride of
Palmetto, Melanie Edison of
Palmetto, Cathy Cox of

The bride chose her wedding dress
as her travel ensemble.
Alter a honeymoon trip to
Arauba, Dutch West Indies, the
couple moved to Melbourne,
Australia for a lew months and then
will return to the USA where the
groom is a Project Manager for
Design with Pratt Industries,
(USA).
The rehearsal dinner was held at
the New Perry Hotel.

home of Dee Peavy in Perry. The
bride received a sleep shirt as a
hostess gift.
A Luncheon was given by Ella
Ann Lawson and Louise Lawson at
the New Perry Hotel. The bride re
ceived a cookbook as a hostess gift.
A Brunch was given by Danna
Demos and Hope Derancy at the
home of Danna Demos in Duluth.
The bride received a casual veg
etable fruit bowl as a hostess gift.
A Miscellaneous Tea was given
by Alice Barge, Peggy Dennis and
Lynda Harris at the home of Lynda
Harris on Palmcttoa. The bride re
ceived a towel set, a stove top set
and a cranberry sauce server as host
ess gifts.
A Tuppcrwarc Shower was given
by Mattie Lou Bynum and Donna
Waldbusscr at the home of Mattie
Lou Bynum in Perry. The bride re
ceived breakfast trays as hostess
gifts.
A Luncheon was given by Joyce
Brooks, Carol Montgomery and
Cindy Greene at the New Perry
Hotel. The bride received a scal
loped basket as a hostess gilt.

Fellowship Hall in Perry. The bride

napkins and napkin rings as hostess

Swift Street Inn in Perry. The bride
