Top fund raiser for St. Judes
Johnathan Jones, left, was the top fund raiser for the
St. Judes Children's Hopsital Bike-A-Thon.
Johnathan raised $250 of the SBOO collected in the
event. Event coordinator Bob Jones, center, holds
Johnathan's brother Stephen. Stephen was treated at
St. Judes as an infant. Stephen won a Huffy bike,
donated by the Perry High coaching staff.

He said the exposure has helped
prepare him for his job.
"It has really helped. I have al
most a newfound respect for the
commissioners. People told me you
can't please all the folks all of the
time. You really see that silting in
the audience," Maye said.
Os course, both Maye and Walker
are looking forward to successful
four-year terms.
"I hope we will be able to con
tinue to grow in Houston County,"
Walker said. I hope (in this term)
that we will be able to continue to
attract industry. I hope we will have
established a very powerful working
relationship with the cities."
"1 hope to be able to look back
and feel good about the decisions I
have helped make," Maye said. "I
will remember my campaign, my
enthusiasm, my conscientiousness.
I hope I can look back after four
years and say I did my best."
