Dove shooting is a sport that may
now be enjoyed; The game law of
Georgia allows doves to he killed from
August 15th to April 1st, and therefore
the season opened last Monday. A
number of Gainesville hunters have
cleaned up their- guns and have taken
advantage of the opportunity of shoot
ing doves again. It is a sport of rare
enjoyment, and those who enjoy'shoot-

The question of building additional
recitation rooms to-the college—the
centrali public school building—has
been discussed among those interested
for sometime. -However, nothing defi
nite has yet been done, and what de
cision the board of education and mem
bers of council will reach about the
matter cannot be forecasted. If the
additional rooms are added the branch
schools will be closed and . all the work
of the public schools will be carried on
under one roof. Many contend that
this would be far more satisfactory
than the- present Arrangement. It
would cost , something to add the rooms
to the college building, and it maybe
that the work will not be done .for
some rime yet.
