Toasts At Home. Recently at a dinner, where nota ble bright spirits were assembled, among other toasts “Home” was offered and received seven im promptu responses. These are here given as uneqnaled examples of apt, brilliant thought: 1. Home; a world of strife shut out, a world of love shut in. 2. Home; the place where the 5 great are small and the small are great: | mm 8. Home ;: the father’s kingdom, the child’s paradise anil the mothers world. V V 4. . Home; . the place, where we grumble most and are treated the be$t. ■ 5. Home: the center of our af fection, around which our heart’s best'wishes.:: ^ y* 6. Home; _ place where our stomachs get three square meals da^lv and our hearts a thousan d. f.* Home| the only place on earth where the faults and fail ings of humanity are hidden under the sweet mantle of charity. ~ : Unawares.
