Mr J T Harris:—Dear Sir: I have found the use of the water from your
I ithia Springs in South Carolina so efficacious in the case of a young lady pa
tient of mine, who has suffered for years with Diabetes, with all its different
attendants, that 1 want to add my testimonial to the many you already have.

Gentlemen—I have used, with great benefit, the case of water sent me, and
regard it with favor, being highly charged with Lithia.

Mr. J- T. Harris, Harris Springs, S. C.
Dear Sir—I have used the Harris Lithia Spring Water for the past year in
ail renal troubles, with prompt and efficient effect. In gouty and rheumatic
troubles I consider this water superior to the Buffalo Lithia Spring water. - I
suffered from an attack of rheumatism for eight months, during which time 1
drank the Buffalo Lithia Water constantly for four months without effect. In
November last I had a case of Harris Lithia Water sent to me, and after drink
ing it for about three or four weeks, the pain and stiffness lett my limbs and I
have not been troubled since. I feel that I can safely recommed the Harris
Lithia Water. Respectfully,

An extended clinical use of the Harris Lithia Water prompts me to the
statement that I regard it as one of the best, if not the best Lithia Water known
to the profession. In the condition of Phosphatic Urine, its action is marvelous.
Its use in the Rheumatic and Gouty Diseases afford me more comfort than
either the Buffalo or Londonderry Waters. Very truly yonrs,
John Hey Williams, M. D.
I have used for sometime Harris Lithia Water in my family, and also with
my patients, and find it is the best Water I ever used in catarrhal condition oi

Mr. J. T. Harris—Dear Sir: I am constrained to send you this testimoniaJ
of the efficacy of the Harris Lithia Water. The value of the testimonial may be
enhanced from the fact that it goes to you unsolicited. As a friend of human
ity, I feel bound to withhold my knowledge of its virtues no longer. I have
been using the water for more than a year with marked benefit. To any one
troubled with kidney disorder, it is the remedy par excellence. I prefer it to

President Vanderbilt Benevolence Association of Charleston. S. C.
Mr. J. T. Harris, Proprietor Harris Lithia Springs.
Dear Sir—While it is contrary to my custom to give testimonials to remedial
agents, I feel free to attest to the efficacy of the Harris Lithia Water (when
used in large quantities) in the Rheumatic and Gouty Diatheses; in Inflamma
tion of the Bladder, and in all cases where there is an excess of solids in the
urine. Yours respectfully, Geo. Howe, M. D.
Columbia, S. C.
The waters of the Lithia Springs are odorless, free from color, with a pleas
ant saliney taste, rather palatable. When taken in considerable quantity they
do not nauseate, purge or produce any feeling of discomfort. I find from the
analysis of the waters they contain Chloride Sodium, Carb. Potash, Carb. Soda,
Carb. Lithia, Carb. Iron and Sulphate Magnesia*. These waters act directly
upon the mucous coating of the stomach and alimentary canal, they are power
fully alternative and tonic. They are everything to inflamed or irritated sur
faces. They aet upon the blood, changing it from acid to alkaline. In Indi
gestion, Catarrh of Stomach and Gastralgia, supplemented with a proper diet
they are a certain cure. The action upon the kidneys is marked. The Sodium,
Potash, Soda, Lithia, are the best solvents of uric acid, all calculi of an acid
character, whether litary or cystic, are steadily dissolved. I am confident that
the profession will find it very useful in cases where this class of water is re
quired. Respectfully, J. Q. Wilbub, M. D.

Mr. J T. Harris—Dear Sir: I enclose you in this letter several small pieces
of calculi passed by a patient of mine, who has been taking the “Harris Springs
Water” for the past eighteen months. This gentleman has been a sufferer for
two or three years with Cystitis, caused from stone. The solvent power of the
water has been, I think, clearly demonstrated in this case. All these fragments
were passed in two evacuations from his bladder in the past ten days. I con
sider Harris Spring Water a most excellent remedy in the Uric Acid Diathesis,
also in Chronic Dyspeptic troubles. ~ ~

Dear Sir: For the past eight months I have been using Harris Lithia Water
with the most excellent results, where I have been able to get my patients to

We will guarantee that one glass of Harris’ Lithia Carbonated Water
will relieve any case of indigestion in one minutes’ time or money refunded, or
if taken after each meal will cure the worst case of indigestion. You see what
the noted Dr. Davega, of Chester, S. C., has to say in regard to it, and there is
not a physician in South Carolina who stands higher in the profession than he
does, and besides yon lose nothing by giving it a trial, as our agents are author

was benefitted by it.

A Few Hints On Nursing.
It is very necessary to have
plenty of tact in order to manage
the patient well; and also to be
loyal and honest in carrying out
the doctor’s orders. When nurs
ing, these orders depend in a great
measure on what you observe and
report to the doctor. Therefore
the better trained you are in ob
servation the more accurate de
tails you can give of your patient.
Notice as to sleep, whether it is
restless, and the duration of it.
Jf there is any cough, and of what
character, if it be short and hard,
spasmodic or loose, also whether
j;here is sickness or any expectora
lion ; if such be the case it is well
to save what is brought up for the
doctor’s inspection. Report a& to
the state of the skin, whether there
is any swotting or not, or if the
skin is yery dry and burning. It
is well to see if there be anything
abnormal in the excretions, and
when necessary show to the doc
tor. Always make a note of these
observations and if possible keep
a sick-room chart with everything
of consequence written clearly
upon it.
