kea«l a liat Prof. |os. Jones of Tulane University, of New Orleans, has to
>,ay in regard to the virtues of Harris"Lithia Water:
New Orleans, La., Aug. 13, 1894.
Harris Lithia Water Co., Harris Springs, S. C.:
Gentlemen—1 have used, with great benefit, the case of water sent me, and
regard it with favor, being highly charged with Lithia. •
Respectfully, Jos. Jones, M. D.
Mr. J. T. Harris, Harris Springs, S. C.
Dear Sir—I have used the Harris Lithia Spring Water for the past year in
ail renal troubles, with prompt and efficient effect. In gouty and rheumatic
troubles 1 consider this water superior to the Buffalo Lithia Spring water. I
suffered from an attack of rheumatism for eight months, during which time I
drank the Buffalo Lithia Water constantly for four months without effect. In
November last I had a case of Harris Lithia Water sent to me, and after drink
ing it for about three or four weeks, the pain and stiffness lett my limbs and I
have not been troubled since. I feel that I can safely recommed the Harris
Lithia Water. Respectfully,
Savannah, Ga., June 13, 1893. R. B. Harris, M. D.
*
The Harris Lithia Water is, in my opinion, unexcelled for those ailments
requiring the salts it contains. Theo. Lamb, M. D.,
Professor Diseases of Chest and Principles of Medicine, Medical Department,
University of Georgia.
Asheville, N. C., April 34, 1893.
An extended clinical use of the Harris Lithia Water prompts me to the
statement that I regard it as one of the best, if not the best Lithia Water known
to the profession. In the condition of Phosphatic Urine, its action is marvelous.
Its use in the Rheumatic and Gouty Diseases afford me more comfort than
either the Buffalo or Londonderry Waters. Very truly yours,
John Hey Williams, M. D.
1 have used for sometime Harris Lithia Water in my family, and also with
my patients, and find it is the best Water I ever used in catarrhal condition of
the uretus and bladder. It is also a good diui*etic Water.
Atlanta, Ga., April 30, 1897. G. G. Roy, M. D.
„ Charleston, S. C., Sept. 30th, 1893.
Mr. J. T. Harris—Dear Sir: I am constrained to send you this testimonial
of the efficacy of the Harris Lit da Water. The value of the testimonial may be
enhanced from the fact that it goes to you unsolicited. As a friend of human
ity, I feel bound to withhold my knowledge of its virtues no longer. I have
been using the water for more than a year with marked benefit. To any one
troubled with kidney disorder, it is the remedy par excellence. I prefer it to
the Buffalo Lithia Water Very truly yours, * A. C. Kaufman,
President Vanderbilt Benevolence Association of Charleston. S. C.
Mr. J. T. Harris, Proprietor Harris Lithia Springs.
Dear Sir—While it is contrary to my custom to give testimonials to remedial
agents, I feel free to attest to the efficacy of the Harris Lithia Water (when
used in large quantities) in the Rheumatic and Gouty Diatheses; in Inflamma
tion of the Bladder, and in all eases where there is an excess of solids in the
urine. Yo.irs respectfully, Geo. Howe, M. D.
Columbia, S C.
The waters of the J^ithia Springs are odorless, free from color, with a pleas
ant salinej' taste, rather palatable. When taken in considerable quantity they
do not nauseate, purge or produce any feeling of discomfort. 1 find from the
analysis of the waters they contain Chloride Sodium, Carb. Potash, Carb. Soda,
Carb. Lithia, Carb. Iron and Sulphate Magnesia. These waters act directly
upon the mucous coating of the stomach afid alimentary canal, they are power
fully alternative and tonic. They are everything to inflamed or irritated sur
faces. They act upon the blood, changing it.from aeid to alkaline. In Indi
gestion,* Catarrh of Stomach and Gastralgia, supplemented with a proper diet
they are a certain cure. The action upon the kidneys is marked. The Sodium,
Potash. Soda, Lithia, are the best solvents of uric acid, all calculi of an acid
character, whether litary or cystic, are steadily dissolved. I am confident that
the profession will find it very useful in cases where this class of water is re
quired. Respectfully, J. Q. Wilbur, M. D.
Waterboro, S. C., April 10, 1893.
Camden, S. C,, Aug. 24, 1893.
Mr. J T. Harris—Dear Sir: I enclose you in this letter several small pieces
of calculi passed by a patient of mine, who has been taking the “Harris Springs
Water" for the past eighteen months. This gentleman has been a sufferer for
two or three years with Cystitis, caused from stone. The solvent power of the
water has been, I think, clearly demonstrated in this case. All these fragments
were passed in two evacuations from his bladder in the past ten days. I con
sider Harris Spring Water a most excellent remedy in the Uric Acid Diathesis,
also in Chronic Dyspeptic troubles.
I am, yours respectfully, A. W. Burnet, M. D.
Chester, Si C.
Dear Sir: For the past eight months I have been using Harris Lithia Water
with the most excellent results, where I have been able to get my patients to
drink a sufficient quantity daily. The carbonated has no equal in Gastric dis
turbances. It is an excellent table water. It is a pleasant laxative, and is a
sure cure for flatulent dyspepsia, S. M. Da vega, M. D.
Atlanta, Ga., April 24, 1897.
Mr. J. T. Harris, Harris Springs, South Carolina.
Dear Sir: I have found Harris Lithia Water an exceedingly valuable reme
dy for persons suffering from Kidney and Bladder Troubles. Therefore take
pleasure in recommending it. Respectfully, Jas. F. Alexander,
President Board of Health.
Baltimore, June 34, 1896.
J. T. Harris, Esq., Harris Springs, South Carolina.
Dear Sir: I have been using Harris Lithia Water for sometime, and I will
say to you that in my opinion that the Harris Lithia Water that is by far the
best Lithia Water that I have ever used, and that it has done me a great deal
of good, and I think it a most valuable remedy.
R. C. Hoffman, President S. A. L. R. R.
Harris Lithia Water Co. ,
Gentlemen—I have used Harris Lithia Water for the past two years and
find it a most excellent remedy for dyspepsia and other stomach troubles. I
cheerfully recommend it. * Chas. M. Neel,

A FAIR PROPOSITION.

We will guarantee that one glass of Harris’ Lithia Carbqnated Water
will relieve any case of indigestion in one minute^time or money refunded, or
11 taken after each meal will cure the worst case of indigestion. You see what
the noted Dr. Davega, of Chester, S. C., has to say in regard to it, and there is
not a physician in South Carolina who stands higher in the profession than he
does, and besides you lose nothing by giving it a trial, as our agents are author
ized to refund the money to any responsible person who will not admit that he
was benefited by it.

Dropper?
There are cough medicines that
are taken as freely as a drink of
water from a dipper. They are
cheap medicines. Quantity does not
make up for quality. It’s the qual
ity that cures. There’s one medi
cine that’s dropped, not dipped—
Ayer’s Cherry Pectoral. There’s
more power in drops of this remedy
than in dippersful of cheap cough
syrups and elixirs. It cures Bron
chitis, Asthma, Croup, t Whooping
Cough, and all Colds, Coughs, and
affections of the Throat and Lungs.
Ayer’s
Cherry Pectoral
is now half price for the half-size

They Like Him.
That clever and popular gen
tleman, Howard Thompson, of
Gainesville, who will be the next
congressman from the ninth con
gressional district ot this state,
passed through this town yester
day in the direction of the Blue
Ridge. Mr. Thompson would
make a first class congressman
and from the signs of the times it
is more than probable he will be
elected to succeed the Hon. Carter
Tate, who will be retired by the
people. Mr. Thompson has been
solicitor of the Northeastern cir
cuit for a number of years and
has made an acceptable officer in
every way. Many of our citizens
who know him are enthusiastic
over the prospect of his candidacy
for congress. If nominated the
people will elect him by a rousing
majority, and it is apparent that
they demand his nomination.—
