In the afternoon of Wednesday, the commissioners visited Brown’s bridge where they met the ordinary of For syth county. They inspected the bridge and will probably decide to buy ^it at their next meeting*, the ordinary of Forsyth county agreeing on the price—$1,500. The commissioners ap pointed an expert to inspect ihe bridge and submit his report to them in order that they might get at a move correct value of the property. The punehase of Brown’s bridge and the erection of one at Keith’s ferry is a very progressive move on the part of the commissioners and will meet with the approval of the people of the county. The commissioners are doing a good work in the way of having the public highways improved and in bettering the bridges over the different streams. The people of the county should heartily co-operate with them in this work. EXERCISES POSTPONED. Washington-Lee Celebration De ferred to April 26th.
