Brand of Lawrenceville, will be glad to hear that he is improving in health in Florida and will probably be able to return home about the first of April. He is well known and popular all over the state, and in this immediate section has many friends who gladly welcome news of his improvement. He has been in Florida about two months. Banks County’s Time. Banks county will furnish the next Senator from the Thirty-third Senato rial district, and it is understood that she will present Hon. J. K. Thompson, former State Senator and now Banks' present representative in the lower house,to the voters of Hall and Jackson counties. So far as known there will not be a contest in Banks over who shall represent the district. At First Baptist Church. Rev. J. A. Wynne, pastor of the First Baptist church, announces that he will begin a series of meetings on the morn ing of April 10th. It is probable that these meetings will continue several weeks, and no doubt they will do much good. Rev. Malcom McGregor of At lanta, will assist pastor Wynne. He is an able and eloquent preacher and speaks with force and power. Estes will address the people of Walton county at Monroe the first Tuesday.in April at 10 o’clock, in behalf of Colonel Candler’s candidacy for governor. The Walton County News says of him: Judge Estes is chairman of the Hall County Candler Club, and is in active touch with the campaign of the popular North Geor gian. The Judge is a most eloquent speaker and will entertain every hear er. He was Colonel of a regiment in the late war and is popular with the veterans. No doubt his coming will make the first Tuesday a red-letter day to the many who will come out to hear Judge Estes. The Waverly 1898 Model. Mitchell’s pet deer is dead. He killed it Thursday morning and sold it to his erstomers at the market. It was a very fine one and weighed over one hundred pounds. Mr. Mitchell hated to part with his little jiet but it got so troublesome he had to kill it. It would jump out of the lot, get into gar dens, and vegetables and flowers were rapidly destroyed.
