MAULDINS MILLS. Mr. J. A. Cain was stricken last week with paralysis in the head, and for two days and nights was in a precarious condition. We are glad to be able at this tifne to report that he is doing better and it is believed that he will soon be up again. The infant of Mr. Ayers died here^last week and was buried at Mount Moriah Baptist church. The bereaved parents have the sympathy of this community in their sorrow. Miss May Duncan of this place and Mr. Green Braselton of Hoschton were married at the res idence of the bride’s father, on the 9th instant. Rev. R. F. Sloan officiated. These highly respected parties have the best wishes of their respective communities. May their pathway through life’s uneven w r ays be strewn with the sweetest'of pleasures. Working the roads was the order of the day here last week. The rains are retarding work on the farms. And between the fear of famine and war with Spain, it iB said that some are preparing caves to take refuge in while the trouble may last. The Sunday school convention of the Mulberry Baptist associa tion convened with the Baptist church at Antioch last Saturday and Sunday. Impure Blood, in Spring.
