Hon. Mark Johnson, of Baldwin
county, will return home today, after

Gainesville circuit. Mr. Johnson is an
intimate friend of Mr. Claude Estes, of
carried the old route. Price postoffice
will be re-established, and Murrayville
office will be supplied with another
carrier.

P. L. Nobles, the dollarless man, of
Nashville, who rode all through this
country in a fine two horse rig some
months ago, appearing to be a million
aire, was prosecuted at the last term of
Lumpkin Superior by a gentleman in
White county for cheating and swind
ling him to the amount of about .$150.
Some time ago the Nugget removed Mr.
Nobles’ light from under a half bushel
and placed it where every one could see
it, when he disappeared, thereby saving
any more people from being swindled
by this sharper.

his present place which he has filled

Hon. Calvin M. Hitch of Brooks coun

be glad to know it for Mr. Hitch is one
of the ablest and most active young
men in the state. He was the represen
tative from Brooks in the last legisla
ture.
Miss Mary Nagle will take Mr. J. P.
Atkinson’s place as stenographer, and
Mr. Mark Candler, the son of the Gov
ernor, will be private secretary.
