Rheumatism.
The Right Remedy Will
Banish it Forever.
If you would forever be rid of
the aches and pains, and some
times the tortures produced by
Rheumatism, you must take the
right remedy. Those who con
tinue to suffer are relying upon
remedies which do not reach their
trouble. The doctor’s treatment
always consists of potash and
mercury, which only intensify the
disease, causing the joints to stiff
en and the bones to ache, besides
seriously impairing the digestive
organs.
Rheumatism is a disordered state of
the blood, and the only cure for it is a
real blood remedy. Swift’s Specific (S.
S. S.) goes down to the very bottom of
all diseases of the blood, and promptly
cures cases that other remedies can not
reach.
Mr. E. K. S. Clinkenbeard, a promi
nent attorney of Mt. Sterling, Ky.,
writes:
“Two years ago I was a great sufferer
from Rheumatism. I had tried every
remedy I could hear of except S. S. S.
I had been to Hot Springs, Ark., where
I remained for twelve weeks under
treatment, but I experienced no perma
nent relief, and returned home, be
lieving that I would be a sufferer as
long as I lived. At a time when my
pains were almost unbearable, I
chanced to read your advertisement
and was impressed with it so much
that I decided to try S. S. S. I took
eleven bottles and was entirely relieved
of all pain and* cured permanently.
When I' began to take S. S. S. I was
unable to sit or stand with any ease,
and could not sleep. Since taking the
last dose I have had no return of .the
Rheumatism, and I take great pleas
ure in recommending S. S. S to any
one who has the misfortune to suffer
with this disabling disease.”
S.S.S. is the only cure for Rheu
matism, which is
the most stubborn
of blood'diseases.
It is not intended
to give relief only,
but by completely
^ neutralizing the
acid condition of
the blood it forces
out every trace of
the disease and
rids the system of it forever. It is
Purely Vegetable

mercury, potash, or any other
mineral ingredient. S. S. S. is
the only blood remedy guaranteed
to be absolutely free from mineral
mixtures.

The world has just begun to use
cotton. Our invasion of the Japa

but a promise of^what we may ex
pect on a larger scale in other
quarters. There are over 1 ,500,000,-
000 human being existing on this
globe, and of 4his number about
half are imperfectly clad. They
live in climates where little pro
tection is needed, but that pro
tection must come in the form
of cotton clothes. The vast hordes
of the Orient, of the islands of the
Pacific, and of the great African
continent, require cotton goods
for clothing.—Griffin News.

with the Spanish-American war,

Diseases of Women Quickly Cured
The editor of the Arkaneaw
Thomas Cat, with headquarters at
Hot Springs, has a surprising sense
of the eternal fitness of things
for the motto of the paper, remarks
an exchange is: “God help the
rich, the poor can beg.” Its princi
ple is “Elevation of horse thieves
and public morals.” On the ed
itorial page is printed this de
claration of principles and pur
poses :
Our Aim—Tell the truth though
the heavens take a tumble.
Our Paper—Of the people, for
the people, to b* paid for by the
people.
Our Religion—Orthodox, with
a firm belief in a Hell.
Our motto—Take all in sight
and rustle for more.
Our Policy—To love our friends
and brimstone our enemies. If
thine enemy smite thee on one
cheek swipe him with haste at the
butt-end of his most convenient
ear.
What we advocate—One coun
try, one flag and one wife at a
time.
Our object—To live in pomp and
oriental splendor.
The Thomas Cat is anti-dj T spep-
tic, anti-polygamy and anti-cuss-
edness generally, and is read in
every town where the church
spires point upward.

A reader of the daily papers
will notice tw r o or three accounts
in each issue, where men through
jealousy of their wives kill them
selves, and sometimes their wives.
A woman is either worth a great
deal or nothing. If good for
nothing, she is not worth getting
jealous for; if she be a good wo
man, she will give no cause for
jealousy. A man is a brute to be
jealous of a good woman ; a fool
to be jealous of a worthless one;
but he is a double fool to cut his
throat for either of them.—Mari
etta Journal.
