The Soda War.
Gainesville is beginning to feel the
effect of a new war, which is now on in
the way of soda. * Some -few years ago
the Church Cp. and Dwight, soda man
ufacturers, combined their enterprises
and formed a trust. Since then two
soda factories have been .established m
the south, one a£ Nashville, Tenne*
see, and the other at Savannah, Ga.
The Arm & Hammer people soon felt
the effects of these new enterprises on
their southern trade, and decided to 1
run them out of business. Consequent
ly reduced the price of their soda, the*
ten cent package now sells for five*
cents and the five cent package two
for five cents. Representatives of the
“Arm & Hammer” manufacturers and
also of the southern factories were in
this city this week looking after the
interests of their concerns and the
questions now is, who will leave the
field first.

USES OF THE LEMON-
(From the Boston Traveler.)
Juice of the lemon is one of th e best and safest,
dnn ks for any person, whether in health or not.
It is suitable for all stomach diseases, liver com
plaint and inflammation of the bowels. Lemon
is used in intermittent fevers. It will alleviate
and finally cure coughs andxolds, and heal dis
eased lungs. Its uses are manifold, and the
more we employ it internally, the better we
shall find ourselves. It will yet supersede quin
ine. .
- Rev. John P. Sanders Writes:
Dr. H. Mozley, Atlanta, Ga. :. I have been re
lieved of a trouble which greatly endangered
my life, by using Mozley’s Lemon Elixer. My
doctor declared my only relief to be the knife,
my trouble being appendicitis. I have been
permanently cured and am now a well man.
