The funeral services over the de ceased were held at Mr. Logan’s residence, two miles South of the city, Wednesday morning at 10 o’clock, conducted by Revs. A. A. Tillv and J. C. R * Logan, father of the boy, was preparing to go home from the etore of the Gainesville Merchandise Co., where he is em-. ployed, when he heard that a boy, driving a one-horse wagon, had been run over and HI led by a train at the Southern depot. Ab he had just sent his eon on home, he felt sure it was he who had been killed, and he hurried to the' scene only to have his fears confirmed by the mangled SToung Joe Logan Run Over And Killed at Southern Depot Monday Evening. Joe, the fourteen-year-old son if Mr. J. Failing to get it, he was on his way home, and as he was crossing the Southern railway hacks, was struck by the train as *t was backing toward the depot. Two freight cars and two flat cars, loaded with lumber, were' coupled t° the engine. The boy was sit ing on the wagon hounds, and he wagon was evidently struck centrally. ANOTHER SNOW For the third time this fall snow fell here Tuesday afternoon. It only lasted an hour, and had not the ground been frozen, it would have soon disappeared. It is quite unusal for three different snows to fall in this section before Christmas.
