Even the cough of early
consumption is cured.
And, later on, when the
disease is firmly fixed,
you can bring rest and
comfort in every case.
A 25 cent bottle will
cure new coughs and
colds; the 50 cent size is
better for settled coughs
of bronchitis and weak
lungs; the one dollar size
is more economical for
chronic cases and con
sumption. It’s the size
you should keep on hand.

A LIFE AND DEATH FIGHT.
Mr. W. Hines of Manchester

‘'Exposure after measles induced
serious lung trouble, which ended
in Consumption . I had frequent
hemorrhages and coughed night
and day. All my doctors said I
must soon die. Then I began to
use Dr. King’s New Discovery for
Consumption, which completely
cured me. I would not be with

QUESTION ANSWERED.
Yes, August Flower still has the
largest sale of any medicine in the
civilized world. Your mothers
and grandmothers never thought
of using anything else tor Indiges
tion or Billiousness. Doctors were
scarce, and *hev seldstn heard of
App'Uid'icitis, Norvous Prostration
or Heart Failure, etc. They used
August Flower to clean out the
system mid stop lormenlation of
nndigerted food, regulate the ac
tion of the liver, stimulate the
nervou and organic action of the
system, and that is all they took
when feeling dull and bad w-ith
headaches and other aches. You
only need a few doses of Green’s
August Flower, in liquid form, to
make you satisfied there is noth
ing serious the matter with you.

Senator Chandler’s Little Mistake-
Senator Chandler, of New
Hampshire, is known as one of
the most exact and painstaking of
men, He rarely makes mistakes,
and has little patience to spare for
those of others. But the wily and
carelul senator was recently guilty
of a blunder which cost him much
trouble to rectify. It was nothing
more nor less than exchanging
envelopes upon two letters written
about some matter. The story, as
related by his very dear friends,
runneth thus: —
Ouce upon a time, Chandler re
prieved an invitaton from Senator
Frye to go up to one of the Maine
lakes and enjoy a spell of hunting
and fishing. Politics would, of
course, come up during the quiet
evening. Senator Chandler had
other plans, and thereupon he
indicted two letters, one to his
wife, which ran to this effect: —
“My Dear Lucy:—l have re
ceived an invitation from Frye to
go to Maine for a hunting and
fishing trip, but I shall not accept.
Frye is a temperance crank and
never has anything for himself or
friends to drink, and, therefore, I
have got out of the thing as
diplomaticallyJasJ I can. There
is not[much enjoyment under the
cicumstauces. ” The letter then
ran on to detail other domestic
confidences.t ...
The letter received by Mrs.
Chandler ran merrily along these
lines: —
“Mr. Dear Frye: I received
your invitation and am very sorry
that I cannot accept. You know
Mrs. Chandler is very disagreable
about such things and so I must
decline. Some other time when
I can get up a good story to justfy
the fun.”
The first intimaton which Chand
ler had of his error was an indig
nant missive from the wife of his
bosom, berating him for his ungal
lant conduct in holding her up to
his friends as a disagreeable
woman.
Senator Fry,fortunately for Chan
dler, held his peace, as he did not
know'whether or not the epistle
was loaded, and fancied that the
contretemps might be merely one
of Chandler’s little jokes, which
would have an ending disastrous
to intermeddlers. The truth of
the matter is that Senator Chand
ler is just as much a teetotaler as
his confere from Maine, but the
other senators who have heard of
the affair are chaffing him un
mercifully.—November “Success.”

BECAUSE
It has taper axles like a wagon, making it the lightest draft Drill made, and reducing the
draft fully twenty-five per cent, over Drills that have straight axles.
Its wheels will never wear in and rub the box with our taper axh*, like Drills will when their
wheels hang on straight axles.
\ It has galvanized conductors which telescope on uneven ground, thereby insuring an even dis
tribution of the seed, and will never clog up like a rubber tube will, and will not rust.
It is the only Drill in the world that will sow the same amount of wheat or oats per acre with
the same gear in equally the same time without making any change.
It is accurate and reliable, because the quantity sown is regulated by gear, there being no
guess-work about it
From one-half fcushel to four bushels, either of wheat, rye, oats or barley, can be sown per
acre.
From ninety-two pounds to three hundred and seventy pounds of fertilizer can be sown to the
acre.
It pays to have an Empire Drill,
We would be pleased to have you call and examine our'Drills. Sold on liberal terms.
